Första officella bilden från Rian Johnsons "Looper"

Empire har nu levererat den första officella bilden från Rian Johnsons nya film, "Looper" med Bruce "Guns Blazing" Willis. Johnson har tidigare gjort en hel del som jag uppskattar, hans första film "Brick" är en av mina favoriter, och även "The Brothers Bloom" är en riktigt kanonrulle. Johnson gjorde också ett av de mest minnesvärda avsnitten av "Breaking Bad", en favorit i TV-serievärlden.

Synopsis:

"Looper is a time travel movie, set in a near future where time travel doesn’t exist but will be invented in a few decades. It’s pretty dark in tone, much different from Bloom, and involves a group of killers (called Loopers) who work for a crime syndicate in the future.

Their bosses send their targets hogtied and blindfolded back in time to the Loopers, and their job is to simply shoot them in the head and dispose of the body. So the target vanishes from the future and the Loopers dispose of a corpse that doesn’t technically exist, a very clean system.

Complications set in from there."

Vi får också se skådisar som Joseph Gordon-Levitt (samma roll som Willis gör, men den yngre versionen), Emily Blunt, Paul Dano och Jeff Daniels i filmen. Mina förhoppningar är att detta blir filmen som Inception lönlöst försökte bli och kunde ha blivit, en SciFi-action som ger oss något vi aldrig sett tidigare. Det är en grymt intressant tanke att fundera på hur en kombination av den flippade känslan i "Brick" och SciFi-formulan kan komma att se ut.

Om jag skulle göra en lista över de filmer jag ser mest fram emot år 2012 är tveklöst "Looper" en av de som ligger högst upp.
